Did you really consider that running your own business
would be this difficult?
Did you really consider that running your own business
would be this difficult?

Today's Brain Fart: When you first thought about running your own business, you probably weighed up the good and the bad.
You thought about the unknown, explored different possibilities, and considered the risks you were taking.
However, did you ever think that one day your business would run you?!...
You thought you’d be able to take holidays and spend them with your family...However, you can’t afford to take even one day off, let alone spend a week on some sunny beach abroad (in those awful Hawaii shorts!).
You dreamt about the freedom to decide what you do and when...However, instead you have lots of different people demanding your attention: customers (many you know you shouldn’t even be working with!), suppliers, professional advisers - not to mention the government tax agency!
You imagined having a team around you who would help grow your business...However, it’s different managing people when you own the business, rather than as a manager in someone else’s.
Did you really consider that running your own business would be this difficult?
Very few places, if anywhere, really prepare you for this - the emotional, mental, energetic, physical and spiritual costs of running your own business! It's something you can't understand until you are in this position yourself.
The long nights, the early mornings, working all weekend, no sick days, not seeing friends and families, missing special occasions, breaking down, feeling numb, helpless and alone. EVERYTHING going wrong (all at once!).
It doesn’t have to be this way!...Every second is a new opportunity to take control of your business and you life. I covered this in a previous Brain Fart, which you can read here now.
Stop being at the mercy of your business, and start building the life you want.
Are your running your business or is your business running you?...
