Today’s Kallum with a K Blog: It’s easy to let the actions of your competitors consume you.
Are they better than you? Are they copying you? Are they trying to poach your staff?
This may fester into anger, frustration or helplessness.
However, when it comes down to it, it doesn’t really matter. Your competitors don’t actually matter.
You have your own journey and they have theirs.
Use their words and action to spur you on if necessary. And keep an eye on them if you must, but focus your attention on driving your business forward.
Worker smarter and don't obsess over your rivals too much. Instead, obsess over your customers and your success. As my girlfriend, Sarah, would say: “you do you” and let them do them.
If they’re trying to replicate you or feel the need to take cheap pops at you then they’re struggling!
Ultimately, the market is the judge. You will attract people like you and repel those customers who are not right for you - and so will your competitors.
There’s more than enough work to go around, and your job is to get a few slices of the pie.
So focus on what you can control - your actions. And try your best to ignore the competition as best you can. And let’s see who will still be here in 5 years time - you or your imitators!
